A quick collection of material

These are samples of work collected from recent shoots, ranging from national broadcasts to corporate infomercials and non-profit work.

Heartbeat International

I shot this using the Sony EX1 in central Mexico. It was my first use of the camera and I was impressed with ease of use, workflow of the digital media and, of course, the HD images.

Our producer was happy at the end of our journey when I handed the entire contents of the shoot to him on a small hard drive which he put in his shirt pocket.  ”It’s all here?”  ”Every frame,” I said.  He smiled, and said “this is how we’re doing it from now on.”  The client, Heartbeat International, based in Tampa, FL, was impressed as well and grateful for the donated services of myself and the fine team at Ren Scott Productions.

The morning team promotion for NBC affiliate WFLA. Producer Larry Doyle wanted to shoot and move quickly to capture the lighter moments of the morning news anchors. The Sony EX1 was a good choice. Larry and Danny Brock handled the post at WFLA in HD, creating a complimentary look to the stock footage.

This was a shoot in December for FOX News with Greta Van Susteren in St. Petersburg, FL. The NBA ref was touting a new book, so naturally, we had to shoot in a gym. Daylight balanced lights were used throughout…two K5600 joker bugs, kinoflo barflys and rosco litepads. Because we had to immediately feed the interview to NY, it was shot on BetaSP with two 16:9 Sony D600ws.

ESPN Magazine looks at athletes destined to be impact players, “next”. Here, we found Tampa Bay Rays pitcher David Price in his photo shoot at Tropicana Field prior to the 2008 World Series.

Trying to work alongside a still photographer is a challenge, different lighting, different motivations. Cramped and hurried, everyone was satisfied and Mr. Price was very pleasant during it all.

Promo for NBC affiliate WFLA in Tampa. I shot using the Letus Depth of Field adapter and the Sony EX1. The video was down-converted to 4:3 standard def. HMI lighting was used along with daylight balanced Kino-Flo’s.

This was shot for University of South Florida’s series of podcasts. They wanted something a little edgy, as they have a young demographic for this series.
Shown to the folks at Apple, they praised USF for delivering a quality podcast with lots of info.
