Software

Sony provides free software, making it easy to view, transfer and transcode the media.

The Clip Browser allows viewing, copying, searching, metadata entry and more for XDCAM EX clips as well as exporting to MXF files for use with compatible NLE.  This software keeps the files in their native format.

The XDCam Transfer Software allows the files to be converted to Quicktime Movie (.mov) files for use with Final Cut Pro.  This means you convert the files before ever getting into the editing process.  Quick and easy.
